Hey Sabrina~ I had Dr. Ali with the Dr, Leports office. I was on full liquids for 3 weeks. That included cream of whea****ery, protein shakes, jello, pudding, broth, and some cream soups strained. It wasn't easy but necessary to heal. I won't lie I did that today for the first time but I am due to start solids with no restriction on Wednesday and am on soft foods right now. How are you feeling? Did you see the nutrisionist?

Hi Sabrina,

Listen to Emelar - Don't eat the fries.  Sounds like you have a head hunger monster.  Get away from the food - Use some distraction.  You will have plenty of challenges ahead.  In my humble opinion you are really going to want to conquer this now.  The first couple weeks/months are a HUGE jump start - again in my humble opinion it is best to leverage them to your advantage.

You can do this!

Hugs,

It's not the couple of french fries, but that they were the first thing you thought of that makes me say--and i don't know how to do it gently, sorry-- you need to change the way you think about food. try to think  'steamed carrots', 'chicken salad' , 'baked beans' , etc when you move onto soft foods!
One thing I did when I was on the liquid phase was to boil, boil, boil some meat , favorite seasonings, and veggies forever until the water was half gone, then strained out the solids and had the broth; it was a nice change.
I didn't see it mentioned. but yogurt is good too. Greek yogurt isespecially good because it has so much protein.
I know what you mean about being tired of the same items, but hang in there, it won't be long.
