Burning, stinging pain at incision
Hey all,
I'm 5 days out. I'm a conversion. I am having a severe burning, tingling pain at the incision point where my stomach was removed (the incision looks good). It happens when I straighten my back out and stretch a little. It's very intense. My whole stomach area is numb (and was also numb with lap band surgery, I never got feeling back) and I also had this super burning pain with my port occasionally when it moved around, but it was not at the incision site. Do you think it's nerves? It's so awkward. Has anyone else experienced this and did it go away? I dealt with it when I had the band, but don't know if I can handle having this kind of pain everytime I get up and move around....
So glad I have this forum for questions!
Thanks

Yup, I had the same thing going on a few days ago. It lasted 2 days and then backed way off. Yesterday and today were both fine for the most part. Still a little bit of a sting/tug now and again, but nothing like it was.
Give it a few days and it should calm down... pain meds help and someone else said a heating pad helps too.

I had the same thing. It took nearly two weeks for it to get good enough to were I could stand straight. I mentioned it to my doc at my two week appointment and he said it is because they have stitches on the inside stitched to the adominal wall. As far as the numbness, could be nerves. Hope it resolves for ya!
