You won't believe how much I've lost!!!

Hi OH Family! So sorry I haven't been on the site as much lately. Just wanted to log on and pay it forward! First of all, I am doing pretty good. I can drink with no pain or nausea. I do have periodical spells of diarrhea... (shhhhhh!! Don't tell nobody!) But for the most part, I really can't complain. It's been sorta smooth sailing.

Last time I posted, I was complaining about those red beans my mama cooked.  Well, since I'm on full liquids, she went into Popeyes and got me some red beans, sans the beans and rice! It was the best thing I've ever tasted since surgery!!! LOL She's gonna make me some of her home made beans on Thursday...I CAN'T WAIT!!!

So I did something I said I wouldn't do.....  I bought a scale... Yeah, I know... Big mistake! LOL Well, when I bought it last Tuesday, it wouldn't weight me. The scale limit is 350. I knew it wouldn't pick up, but I kinda figured I hang on to it until I was able to weigh with it. Well, on this past Sunday morning, I took it down and weighed..............and it said 346. As I stared in DISBELIEF, I was like...no, this can't be right!! Well, I stepped on again, and it said 350. LOL I wasn't upset, though. I was just thrilled that it could actually pick up my weight which means I've lost 9 more pounds!!!!!!! So, as of today, I'm going with the weight of 350! So that's down 30 pounds since I first started this journey!!!!!!! (A measly 4lbs. lost preop, but I'm hardly counting that... lol)

I am so happy! I'm shocked, in disbelieve.... I just can't believe this is happening to me!!! So as of today, less than 2 weeks out from my surgery, I have no regrets. I question my decision at times, BUT I have no regrets!!

Hello !!! Count those 4 pounds pre-op ! Every darned ounce lost is a victory !!!!

You can stop questioning your decision now. It's too late. You are sleeved! Congratulations on the good work. You are doing something right.

BTW, the scale will behave more consistently as you get away from the max. They get kind of wacky near the max.

You are right! No turning back now! LOL And yeah, I think I better put it up for a few weeks.... I'll check back and hopefully by then, I'll be in the 340's!!!!!! YAY!!

That's great! Being from Louisiana too, I know how hard it is to go without my mom's cookin'.  I did the same thing when I went onto mushies.  I hit popeyes for the mashed potatos and gravy. I was surprised that it did not have many carbs as I thought it would, plus, I couldn't eat the whole thing anyways.  Glad that you are doing well and keep us posted on your journey.  You are doing wonderful! Keep rockin' that sleeve!

Girl, that Louisiana cooking ain't nothing to play with! LOL Hmmmmmm mashed potatoes! Yup, I think I'll hit those when I start the mushies! Can't wait until I can actually chew some food!!! Thanks for the encouragment! You keep rocking your sleeve as well!!
