How did you stop the loss?

Hey friends!
Its been awhile, Ive been soooo busy. And while going through it… like really ******g going through it with our house **** and the business crap (were looking at shortselling the house which means closing the business, selling everything its just a mess!) and running all over town with my wild sister I am starting to freak out. How the **** do I stop losing? I am at 165. My goal is 150 but I do not want to be under 155 for surgery and don't want to lose more after that. I have a month and a few days till my tummy tuck and fear dropping lower than Id like. If you purposely stopped your weight loss to maintain a weight you preferred, how did you do it? I am really wanting to avoid breast implants and severe skin sagging else where as I know I wont be able to pay for any more lifting of tucking anything and I don't want to look like a waif…… Help Help Help…. my breasts are begging you!

Oh… and among all my recent madness Max, my lil guy who just turned 2 knocked out his front tooth the day before his big birthday party… the HUGE party… that ended up having to be moved indoors due to rain. After the party I got 3 emails from disturbed guests whose children were "disturbed" by the indoor "beating" of our life size buzzlight year pinita… and even more disturbed that I ripped his head off and shook out his innards… **** my life… does it ever end?

Adding healthy fat, and higher caloric foods without changing your actual measured portions is the one thing that got my losing to stop. Along with no cardio workouts, and I draink 100% grape juice once a day.

Avocados, nuts, peanut butter, and more carbs became every day staple items in my intake instead of just meat, cheese, eggs and greek yogurt.

It took 4 months to get into maintenance and for my body to truly settle.

And, just to let you know, even once I got to goal and into maintenance, my skin and fat redistributed. My boobs went from a solid 34/36 (big) C cup to a tiny 32 B with skin and fat redistribution with zero movement on the scale from months 11-18 months post-op. They continued to deflate and fat has moved. Maybe you won't experience it, but sadly, there are no guarantees. My thighs have changed shape 3 times over the last year as well, along with my collarbones have come and disappeared twice without any change in the scale, and today with a solid 10lb gain, and pregnancy, they are back in raging sight when they had practically disappeared a few months ago with no change on my scale.

I wish I could help ya Shug, but my boobs have taken a permanent vacation, I've switched bra sizes 3 times since surgery. I'm still in the losing phase so I'm anticipating tube socks by the time I'm done.

As far as the dingbat who's little Johnny is now having Buzz be-heading nightmares...tell them to build a bridge and get over it. Assure them they won't have this problem next year! Sheesh!

I replace lower cal meats (chicken/turkey/fish) with higher cal meats (beef, pork, zauzage!), I have always used full fat cheeses, so I continue with that, I also add healthy fats, coconut oil, macadamia nut oil, hazlenut oil, almond oil, to dishes, which will add another 100 to 130 calories per tablespoon.

Adding avocados is healthy fat.  My pnb cocoa thing I have every day is a 300 calorie 15 g of protein delight, but I have it WITH a smaller meaty dish, so I am not just eating straight up PNB alone, which wouldnt be good for my blood sugar.

Course, you have probably heard me blab taht I still have to drink shakes for protein synthesis, and I do double scoops so I only have to have 2 a day, and add 1 T of the flavory oils above to them.

I generally eat the same stuff, so this is how I tweak the caloric density, without having to increase my volume.

Works for me, beebee!

People are weird.  What the hell do those folks do with pinatas?  invite them for tea?  Beating a big colorful donkey is less disturbing?

Freaks.

LOL...this made my day!!  Well wait till he's 7 and they're STILL prudes!!  My son had a prank/gag party and the goody bags had whoopee cushions in there and also my son saw fake poop online while we were buying the party favors and I even did NOT put that in the bag ahead of time as a courtesy and less than half of them would allow their sons to take it and acted like i was so repulsive for even offering....seriously??  They're 7 year old boys!!

Hi J;  when i got to goal i thought it would be a simple matter of eating more but its not as easy as one would think.  I still was instructed to eat my 70 g protein and to get that in its hard to have room for other calories. I lost another 15 lbs without really trying. They say to add 100 calories a day a week at a time until you get to the level that you maintain at. You can do this by adding almonds, peanut butter and cheeses. Healthy fats are calorie dense and good for you. Also some fruits. I maintain on about 1200 calories so its not that great an amount but weight loss was 600 to 700. The difference is my big old blob of peanut butter, a 200 calorie protein bar sometimes (power crunch) extra skim milk and almonds. Still don't do any junk food, sugary stuff, white carbs or all the bad junk that got me in trouble in the first place. I think its a big mistake to resort to that. And sometimes there is a little rebound later so don't worry if you get a couple of pounds too low. I did and surgeon said don't worry. And I believe he is right.   GL. You looked awesome when I met you a month ago. And you are young and the skin stuff will adjust. Even in my 59 year old body things have sort of adjusted and are not quite as bad as 6 months ago.
