MY FIRST
Hi All,
Yesterday, something happen with the sleeve that really scared me. I could not feel my sleeve as of filling full, food or drink. Has this happen to anyone else or has 7 weeks of the sleeve come to an end, start dieting again? I ate stuff I knew not to eat, still no feeling, today is some better. I was afraid to go to sleep because look how long it has been since I had really ate that much, I thought I might choke, if the food came up, I was starting to get hot and sweat some. Thank You for your help.
God Bless

First, measure your food so you don't overeat. Second, what are you eating? I'm at 7 1/2 weeks and I can eat about 2 oz of wet food - chicken salad, egg salad, etc - but much less of solid foods - dark meat chicken, turkey burger, solid cheese, etc.
I expect to be able to eat at least double that eventually.
I have heard, though I haven't experienced it, that some people have days with less restriction. But at 7 weeks you shouldn't have huge capacity even then.

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22
175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012
I agree, it depends a lot on what you're eating. Also, you'll probably notice that one day it feels like you can eat anything and they next you're feeling maximum restriction. The sleeve has it's own personality!

If I remember correctly, you've had allot of posts about physical problems in your 7 weeks post op including a recent bout of dehydration.
Just my opinion, but don't you think it might be wise to under eat and over drink (if there is such a thing). Plus I would work very hard to stay on plan even eating very soft proteins until you're really feeling better. You don't have to eat until you're full....eat enough to satisfy yourself. And eat often if it's on your surgeon's plan.
It also sounds like you were eating and drinking at the same time. That's a big No, No for most plans. No fluids 30 min before or after your meal.
Again, just my opinion....speak with your NUT.

I agree with the previous reply. I can eat crackers like they are going out of style!! But, when I eat what I'm supposed to (grilled chicken, etc.) it's hard for me to even eat enough of it. However, if you are not eating your protein, you are really going to suffer some health realted consequences. I hope that you don't get to that point. Try really hard to make the most of this wonderful tool you have been given!!! You still have to work at it! Best of wishes to you!
