RNY? Nope.

VSG? Absolutely.

Less weight loss? I'm happy with mine.

Absolutely would do the sleeve again.  Have had wonderful results and won't have malabsorption issues for life  AND it is still my fully functioning stomach (albeit smaller) instead of a pouch.

I just had my surgery a week ago, so it might be premature to say. But so far, the most wonderful thing about this is the relief from hunger. I need to eat (liquids so far), but I no longer have that bottomless pit that required frequent feeding to remain comfortable. The pre-op diet was torture, but now I'm so comfortable whether I eat or not. For me, this was the right surgery, no doubt.

Nope, ruled out RNY early- sleeve all the way!
If I wanted/needed a malabsorbtive I'd have gotten the DS.. best of both worlds.

I may be answering this prematurely... I wouldnt have done it at all! But I am just shy of being 2 weeks post op and I am having a hard time. But I deffinately wouldn't have the RNY, I almost wished I had gotten the band so I could reverse this. :(

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry you're having a hard time.  I'm sure things will turn around soon.  You are in the most difficult phase right now.  Good luck to you.  It does get better and eventually you will feel normal again.  Hugs.

I'd do it again every single year if I had to, and the sleeve every time... it's that awesome!

The sleeve was hands down the choice for me. I'm 7 months out. This was definitely the choice for me.

Was not interested in the re-routed plumbing of the RNY.  The potential for bowel obstruction around that scared me, along with potential for RH.

I have had one major post-op issue, stomach acid.  I treat with meds, sometimes successfully and sometimes I get a flare-up.  Even with that I would do it again.
