Love, love, love my sleeve. Did not want re-routing of my guts. But, if I needed malabsorption I would choose the DS. I would do it every year if needed. Wish I would have done it years ago..good luck to you in your decision.

As a revision patient, no one could pay me to have RNY. I'm 2 years post-VSG, and loving life. Pregnant, thriving, my labs have remained stellar. I have zero food or medication restrictions, I maintained my loss for a year until pregnancy weight has creeped in a bit. Constant, permanent restriction, pyloric valve intact and I literally eat anything and everything I want.

I'm still loving my sleeve at 2 1/2 years out!  Wouldn't change a thing.

another vote for the sleeve!! I would vote for the sleeve as a first option for everyone. Best results/commplication ratio going. the DS would be second great for taking off weight but definite deficiency issues. Im glad to know that if I need the malabsorption it can still be done but I hope to never need it!

OVER a year post op - would do it again in a minute.  No regrets.  Love my sleeve.
