I just dont know what to eat to help maximize my weight loss.  When I get 'confused' I know I am making poor choices.  I need some quick, easy ideas.   I dont like beans and yogurt does not seem to be my friend.  Any other ideas?  I am down 50 lbs and want to keep losing.  Thanks!

Do you like seafood? Always a good choice in my book. I'm not a good cook so I look for easy dishes.
One of my favorites is.....a piece of frozen fish (cause I always forget to take it out of the freezer) on a piece of foil, throw in some frozen veggie mix, season it all, wrap up the foil kind of like a tent and back at 450 for 30 - 45 min depending on the thickness of the fish. You can make lots of varieties with different types of fish and veggies.
Shrimp is another go to meal for me.

More importantly...I try to plan a week (or at least 3 or 4 days) in advance so I can do good grocery shopping. That could help your confusion = poor choices.

Good luck.

I am a creature of habit and don't mind eating the same things time and again. Some of my staples include: rotisserie chicken (I would take it apart and weigh and put in baggies for easy toting), cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, soy burgers, soy products, fish, turkey meatballs, ricotta cheese, tuna fish, canned sardines in tomato sauce, turkey ham & swiss cheese roll ups, special k protein plus cereal with milk, etc..

During those periods where I abhor eating food, I did/do use protein shots. I no longer drink protein shakes as I can't stomach them.

Keep up the great work!

At four weeks out I eat:

chicken - breast, boned and skinless or thigh bone in skin on
chilli - chicken of beef, I've been eating this since about two weeks out
fish - salmon, sea bass, scrod, sashimi
pork - pulled, babyback bibs, pernil
shrimp
scallops
beef  - not so much yet

I haven't eaten anything fried since before my surgery.

Breakfast is usually a 1/4 protien shake with a teaspoon of lowfat greek yogurt with strawberry flavor I add fresh strawberry and bananna. In chocolate some times I add a teaspoon of peanut butter and 1/3 of a bananna. To this I add a tiny bit of skim milk and a small handful of ice. Blend, enjoy.

Sometimes I have 1 or 2 hard boiled egg whites instead of the shake or one whole egg scrambled with a slice of swiss cheese.

Snack at night usually a sugar free ice pop or occasionally a sugarfree jello pudding.

I eat very, very small amounts of food and I feel fueled and completely satisfied. I'm working out every day and the weight is falling off me.

I am only 7 weeks out but I eat:

-turkey burgers, turkey chili, turkey jerky, turkey meatballs
-crab, shrimp, tuna, scallops, salmon, sole, halibut, crabcakes, crab bisque soup
-bacon, pulled pork
-chicken breast
-eggs, all types of cheeses, yogurt
-almonds, protein bars, jerky
-low carb pasta, tortilla wraps (all in moderation)
-all types of soups
-grapes, bananas, watermelon

i can pretty much eat anything now; i'm pretty lucky to be able to tolerate anything at this point. But I keep it in moderation all the time. Like for the pasta, i like pasta in my seafood salad, and i cook less than half a cup of pasta, when it's done, i cut it up into smaller pieces and then portion it out into containers (with the seafood mix) for about 3 days. So i still have my pasta and the texture i like, just in moderation.

One thing you may want to try is "miracle noodles".  They don't have any calories, protein, etc... but they will fill you up.  They are kind of like tofu.  They take on the taste of what ever you mix with them.  I like to make chili and mix with them.  Here is the link if your interested.  I like them and I order them often.

I eat egg salad, lunch meat, white cheese, mushrooms, jerky, pork skins.  I am on a nut benge right now.  Roasted peanuts and pecans.

Good luch
