Okay, I must admit I have not been on here much and probably missed this. I looked and didn't see it but well… research is not my speciality. How is everyone doing??
I doing well. I had my very first stall this week and now understand why everyone get so ******g pissed when they don't lose weight after a whole week. Grrr. I started at 229 and am now 165. My goal is 150. I went from a 14/15/16 to a 9. I am still wearing my 11s but they are big. I don't want to buy new pants yet cause Im doing a tummy tuck and lipo on the 11th of July. I know its way early but its a financial issue and its now or never baby!
How are you all doing? And how much can you eat now? I can eat about 2.5oz of meat with a few bites of salad and maybe one bite of a carb.
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoy their new smokin' hot bods!!!
yeahhhh baby!!!!

I'm doing great, thanks for asking.  Started at 291, was at 259 on surgery day, now at 193 -- 98lbs lost altogether. I can sense i'm goign to bounce off the century mark a few times like I did 200.  It's totally in my head, lol.   I've gone from a 28/30 (24/26 @ surgery time) to a 14/16.  I can eat about the same as you -- 2.5oz of meat, a few bites of veggies.  I'm working with a personal trainer 3x a week along with running regularly.  My shape is starting to even out as I predicted, and i'm becoming less extreme pear and just pear shaped.

I feel great, can't complain. I'm actually pretty happy and quite fit at the size I am right now, but I'll be exctatic with another 60lbs gone :)

Hi!!  Doing ok except that my freakin' scale won't budge! I have gone from a 20 to a 14 so I am happy about that though!!  My dr told me at 3 months to stop taking the nexium that they sent me home from the hospital with, but my tummy has been burning and I can't eat much - think I'm going to start taking it again.

Today all I want to do is eat.... I guess TOM is going to visit soon.  I started at 244 pre op and day of surgery 230.  I am down to 184 so a  total of 60 lbs lost. I am 6 feet tall and that weight puts my bmi at 25 NORMAL BMI!!!!! Would still like to loose 20 lbs and be in the middle of the normal range. I went from a size 20 to a 14.  Have some 12 in the closet but they are just to tight.  I loose in stair steps.  So I am at a leveling off period now  at least I do notice my cloths get looser when I and in the leveling off period.  I feel like I can eat a little bit more then you all have posted.  I can eat 3/4 of a cup or 3 oz of meat and 1/4 cup of veg or 1/2 cup of salad.  I have struggled with breakfast.... egg alone yuck.  To eat eggs I need toast and hash browns.  I have found my breakfast food,  2-3 strawberries cut in pieces with 3 oz of a low carb yogurt and 1/4 cup of go lean kas****real.  I do drink diet dr pepper daily.... it is my one vice in life... and in the end it won!  I love watermelon and I see that when i eat it the weight does come off.  It does seem to have a diuretic effect. So in general life is good and I love my sleeve.  Now to just get the last 20 lbs off!

VSG on 01/10/11 with
weighing once a week and down to 205 by my scale. will be higher when i go to the surgeon's office on weds next week which is always a big let-down. i can eat about 1/2 cup of just about anything. still getting stupid and foaming things up even at this stage of the game, maybe partly b/c i never lost my hunger and also just want to finish that last little bit b/c it's good! trying to change!!!!! seem to be on a little plateau and feel like i'm never going to lose again, but trying not to dwell on it. i do seem to be losing inches and just started zumba classes in addition to strengthening exercises from trainer i've seen a few times. so, yeah, the lightest i've been in years and years -- i think this little tool was definitely worth it!!!!

yay us!!!!!!!! (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))

Surg Jan 24--have lost 70 pounds. I go into hugely long stalls, prob because of my age (63). They can last 10 days to 3 weeks. I have to kick-start my metabolism to lose again (double my protein one time, increase exercise another time, fast for 2 days another time.) My metabolism is so very stubborn, but I keep at it. Am doing Zumba 3x/week and treadmill on off days. I only drink non-caloric stuff (completely gave up my milk addiction). I have given up carbs for the most part. In short, I am the poster child for doing everything right on here, and should be losing a pound a day! (hehe). The only thing I have not done is track everything I put in my mouth (I was only tracking protein), so starting today I am using myfitnesspal and will start tracking carbs and calories too. I am the thinnest I have been in about 25 years, so I do not know why I am complaining. I have another 90 pounds to go but am determined to get there by hook or by crook--who cares if it takes me 2 years. This forum has taught me so much and it really pays to study all the ideas on here and incorporate them into your new lifestyle changes. Without this forum I would still be out there floundering around, thinking protein did not really matter that much, and that getting 64 oz of water was just something ridiculous, and why could I not drink with my meals, etc etc etc. Now I truly pay attention to every last little detail and try to learn from the vets. I am so happy to hear from the rest of the Jan sleevers out there. Thank you!  And let's get crackin and lose a few more pounds too!

I had surg Jan 19th. Not on here much! Which i need to get back, it is such motivation here! My highest weight was 366, surgery weight 352 current weight 275. I hit huge stalls that seem to last forever. I upped my workouts and my weightloss slowed down. I have been feeling like I am not doing anything right! I really need to get motivated again! Need to get back to forums! Best of wishes January sleevers!

I am at 181--on surgery day I was 232.  My loss slowed down last month to a pound a week so I am shaking up the exercise routine--adding weights to build lean muscle mass and yoga and swimming for flexibility.  I am still low-carb and undereating my capacity so I am not sure how much I can eat--I know I can eat 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and 3 oz. of chicken thigh, or 4 scallops.  I love how I look now in the body, but the face!  I never realized how the fat filled out the wrinkles!  I see fillers in my future.......
