Surgery 6/22/11 & looking for sleeve sisters & brothers

Hi all, I am having surgery one week from today (6/22/11) and am looking for others who are as well!  Would love to keep in touch with each other's successes, struggles, progress and questions since we'll all be sleeved on the same day.

I started my preop liquid diet today and so far so good.  I'm ravenous, but dealing with it ok.  I figure I can do anything for a week (or at least that's what I'm telling myself!).

I've been on the preop diet for a week now and it's not too bad :)

I'm scheduled for 6/24 - the doctor did not put me on a pre-op liquid diet, but encouraged me to start practicing for how it will be after surgery.

There are so many things to remember - I wonder if anyone has a manual that they can share

Hey Wolfpack- check out the FAQ post that ususally pops up every week. There are a few good manuals in there. Did your surgeon not give you anything? Boo!

He gave me a lot, but I've been reading posts and learning about a lot of things that aren't covered in the stuff he gave me. For example - learning about what foods are sliders for some people and not others, not drinking with meals, etc.

gotcha! I'd be willing to scan my stuff for you tomorrow BUT it's not so good- they just used the lapband paperwork and changed a couple of things :/

I'm scheduled for the 23rd, so I'll be right along with you. I am on my pre op diet, but its not liquid until 2 days before. Best of luck!

 june 20th is my day

June 22nd for me! I go to sign my consent forms. I have not been given a prep diet yet. I have started trying protein shakes to see what I like. He may but me on pre op tomorrow. We are are sisters .

June 24th for me with Dr. Aceves..starting protein only diet tomorrow.
