Has anyone revised their goal to a higher weight than they thought they would want to end up at? Im really feeling like I want to stop here and now. I am happy with everything except the extra skin on my tummy and Im having that handled soon. I don't want to lose more in my face or chest. I am at 163 and planned to get to 150 but I know for a fact I wont be happy there. I am a size 9 now and was told Id go down 1 or 2 sizes after my tummy tuck and i just am happy with how I look now. Is it bad to stop at a higher weight? I added pics from today, I know I dont look "skinny" but I like my body here and really dont want to "let my body stop where it wants" as my hip bones are already poking out and looking scary. I feel torn.... Am I supposed to go as low as I can to be sucessful or follow my gut and do what what feels right for me and my body? I am still losing slower but steady but am really worried about this and wanting to stop the loss, if not right now, very very soon. Thoughts friends?

Jenn....

It's totally up to you......and I get what ur sayin....and I think ur lookin !!!........

The only thing I'd share with you is what Dr.C has told us......

In his statistics there is a regain factor and I wanna say it's about 10lbs.

My initial goal was 175lbs. and me and Dr.C worked it down 5lbs. at a time to 150lbs. which is where my WL kinda stopped on it's own.

I'm at a weight that feels right to me......I don't feel "skinny" by any means and feel kinda flabby mostly cause off loose skin.

My point is that I went lower by 10 or 15lbs. and will still be thrilled if long term I have about a 10 or 15 pound regain....

Just something to consider.

Hey Frisky… I hadn't thought of that! I think Ill let myself just lose until my tummy tuck next month, and I was told to expect quite a bit of loss with the tummy tuck and lipo. Thanks!
See you soon sucka!

Yup, my weight stabilized at 20 pounds higher than my original goal.  Before I got fat, I was a good sturdy healthy 130 pounds, so I thought that would work again.  Well, I'm 58 years old and was fat for 30 years.  When I hit 150, I knew I was done.  I don't like the sound of the number, but my body looked as good as a post-menopausal ol' gal can look, and I maintained without any effort at all.

Then I got sick (nothing to do with the weight loss surgery) and lost down to 122.  Emaciated!  The doctor told me to gain the weight back any way I could and recommended I eat lots of ice cream.  Don't tell that to a gal with a 35-year binge-eating disorder and raging sugar addiction!!  I got back into the sugar and junk carbs, and now I fight to stay at 170 ... definitely 20 pounds too much!

That's the long-winded way of saying if you feel comfortable at the weight you are and can maintain easily, go with it!  You look absolutely gorgeous!  But be careful not to fall back into old food habits.  Sugar and junk carbs are the devil!!!

Hey Jen - just wondering if the loose skin removal would put you close to your goal anyway????  I say go with what makes you happy - its your body, you've done the work!

Hi Lucy, I was told Id lose 10 or more pounds as they are doing lipo in 3 areas with the tummy tuck. I hadn't thought of that! I bet that'll put me right at goal!
Thanks girl!

Do what makes you healthy & happy. And the beauty is - you will always have your tool at your disposal.

But I just want to add, how you feel about your weight now may not be how you feel a few months down the road as you get used to seeing yourself at this weight.

You've done a great job by the way!

I tend to agree with Frisco.

I'm happy at my current weight of 157 (which is a size 8-10 on the bottom and a S/M on the top), except for the extra tummy skin and drooping boobies. My current goal is 150 based on my surgeon's goal for me.

However, I'm thinking about revising my goal to go lower (130ish?), mainly based on the stats of bounceback/regain at about the 2 yr mark. I'd like to have that 10-20lb cushion just in case.
