Revising goal to higher weigh****cha think?
Bottom line is that it yours and only your decision. So you can take or leave what I say.
I'm one that doesn't believe that the BMI is the end all goal. My philosophy is how you feel and look is what's important. The whole reason for me doing this was to get healthier and live longer. Not to meet a number on a chart.
My original goal was 220. When I got there I felt and looked great and felt that I didn't need to loose any more weight. So I resisted loosing any more. My body didn't agree with me and I still lost more weight. I fought hard to maintain that weight but I lost the battle. To my surprise when I got down to 210. I felt better than I did at 220. So I decided to stop fighting and take my doctors advice. He said your body will know when to stop. In addition he told me that the easiest time to lose weight is during the honeymoon phase which is generally the first year to 18 months. After that it becomes more difficult to loose weight. He said you should try to take advantage of the honeymoon phase as much as possible.
I took his words of wisdom and thought that I should experiment during my honeymoon phase and go down as low as I can. See how I look and then if I don't like it I can always put more weight on.
While your still loosing your body is still shifting. So even though you may look gaunt for a bit. Your body may shift and you'll end up with a different look. That's the point where I am now.
Currently I'm 5'11" and 202 pounds. I've been bouncing between 200 and 210 for the last three months. It would be great if I hit onderland. But I'm not stressing it. I feel great. Honestly I think I may look a little gaunt in the face at this point if it doesn't change I may put some weight back on. So far I like the way I look and feel at 203 pounds. At some point I may adjust my goal range to 200-205.
Again it's your decision but since you asked....Here's my two cents.

It's also fairly easy to gain weight around 1.5-2 years out. I did it with excessive alcohol and party food consumption over the holidays last year. It didn't take much to get it off, but there was still a solid gain.

Cant wait to see your after TT pics girl!
Surprised that you're doing plastics already. Aren't you supposed to stabilize first? Otherwise you may end up having to re do it after you loose more weight.

Honestly, I should probably wait. Although my WLS surgeon and plastics guy agreed I could do them as soon as I was at goal. For me its mow a financial issue, its now or never. I wont be able to do it later due to some major changes in our finances so I am doing it now. I was told that the major reason people are asked to wait is to be sure they can keep the weight off and I am not too worried about that as Ive never gained in my life when I was not pregnant. I do wish I could wait a few extra months to be at the same weight for a few months but its not in the cards and my skin is so bad on my tummy Id hate to be stuck with it forever, ya know?
Hi Jenn,
I think you look amazing and should be so proud!! I also think you need to do what feels right for you....I do like the idea of alittle cushion just in case of regain...but I don't know. I am seeing Wetter today for my 1 yr check up so I will ask him about that. I also never made a goal with him (I did with my PCP) so I am anxious to see what he says.
When are you having your plastic surgery? WOuld love to catch up.... miss seeing your posts.
Take care

Hey girl!!!
I know I have to get back on here! My sister is still up here, till the 18 of next month. Can you believe she's flying out on my birthday? What a beast! I have been sharing my computer with her and running all over town but once she goes home Ill be back to my usual OH posting … haha Tell Dr Wetter I said HI!!! Love him! Ya, I think I need to look into the bounce back weight, had not occurred to me much. Perhaps I should let my body go at its own pace till my tummy tuck on July 11th and then I will see how I look and feel after I heal and that should give me bounce back room.
I am using Dr.Behmand in Walnut Creek. I really liked his before and afters, he works specifically on weight loss surgery patients as well which I liked too. I was able to use care credit to pay for half and he was super cool and billed it out right away as we had some financial **** going on and needed it billed now not when services were rendered. I love his best side manner and kinda laid back fun demeanor.
His website is:

I know Dr. Wetters office refers to a surgeon that he really likes and to be honest I didn't check him out cause I loved Dr. Behmand
See you soon girl! Im gonna start woking on a fall meet up!
