GNC entertainment at best

This was rather entertaining.  Last night I went into GNC and was looking around before I started to ask the gentelman behind the counter about iron pills.  As we were talking he was asking me questions as if I take a multi vitamin with iron etc.  I said that I do, however my MD wants me to have one of these two - reasons he didnt need to know why!  He repeatedly told me if I am on a multi with iron I dont need any more.  Me being the smartass that I am, asked him where he got his MD degree from and said yeah well I will take the advice from my MD and yeah not you! 

I appreciate the help, but I am looking for something specific for a reason, not his job to question me.

I had to laugh at your post Nicole, because I had a similar experience at GNC..

I went in before my surgery to get my mutli vitamins from them, and to also get some unflavored protein powder taht my NUT had recommanded..

He told me I needed the Isopure drinks, and the shots.. I said my NUT told me to get this unflavored powder do you have this.. He said NO and I just got my vitamins..

I too, could not believe that he was telling me what I needed.. That is great that YOU think I needed those..

 I was told that GNC does not have the iron and the vitamins we need. I had a run in with GNC person also. I would never go there again. That is why I get mine from my doctors office. I am happy he sells them in office makes it so easy for me to go and get.

I'm sorry you had someone so ignorant helping you. I'm the opposite and had a great experience the two times I went to the GNC on base where I live. They were very informative and told me from their other customers what the have bought and didn't buy. One girl also told me some products they didn't carry might want to try.
