approved and scheduled!
Hi All,
Well, I got my approval letter from the insurance company yesterday, and spoke with the surgeon's scheduler today. I'm having my sleeve done on 8/1. What's even better is that someone I met on this forum is having her sleeve done the same day, at the same hospital, by the same surgeon!
I'm excited, but truly scared - what a BIG step! I know the decision was the right one for me. It's just nerves. I've wanted to eat today - surprise, surprise! Overall, I've done fine, but what I ate I wolfed down. I have to keep reminding myself that it's one day at a time.

Nothing to be scared of. I had mine on 6/10 and feel great 13 days out. Only had at most a 3 on the 10 scale for pain (mostly gassy from the anesthetic) and it went away after two days. Have had more discomfort going to the dentist. Feel just like I never had the surgery. Only restriction is 10 lbs lifting and waiting to get that cleared from my surgeon. Good luck and congrats.
