Hi Carly,

I am in the same area and know that I will probably never get seen here, so I will most likely be heading to Mexico in the future.  I know what you mean by neglected when I heard the wait is 7 yrs if you are lucky but where you waited 10 that is unreal.  Sometimes I wish I was in the USA where at least their private insurance covers the majority of them and they can usually just get through a year wait.  Our health care system is gone down the drain.

I am glad you were able to finally get the surgery done, and wish some of the other provinces were able to help with the back log here in NS.

Hi Jackie,

Move, relocate, get it done in Ontario, or at a Clinic wherever you can as soon as you can!  This was a long journey for me.. I only wish things were different.  Having had this in my mid 20s would have been a lot easier on me than almost 40 -- not counting the other 100 lbs I put on in the last decade.

It's going to be amazing!  Don't hold out on your health!  If you have no co-morbidities and you're on the waiting list at the QE2, you will wait forever.  That's the sad truth.   I feel your pain hun, I've lived it. If I was financially okay, I would have self-paid in a heartbeat.  Unfortunately, I had to relocate, but have zero regrets.   Just wi****hought of it sooner ; )

Good luck on your journey.  Make it happen for yourself.  You're worth the investment, however you have to make it happen for you.  xoxo  all the best!
