When I had my first mammogram last year I was called back as well..

It was nothing, but since it was my first they had nothing to go on, so that is why i got a call back.. But they saw somethings on there, and they just wanted to be sure..

I too have to go to the hospital on the 11th of Aug.. I have to get a Endoscopy ultrasound done, my doctor when he scoped me during surgery he found a nodule, on the outside of my throat he wants to have it checked out..

I had the same about 5 years back and ended up being nothing.

Good morning...I haven't had that experience, but just wanted to let you know you'll be in my prayers. I think positive, that if there was something really serious, they would do the follow-up quicker, but nonetheless, I would be feeling some of that anxiety, too. Will keep you in my prayers!

Exciting that your doc was so impressed with your progress and I am sure you are one of his best success stories! WTG!

I feel much better now with everyone posting their experience here.
I guess mine could be worse. They could be taking a biopsy rather than a 2nd xray.

I was so touched and ecstatic when I saw my Doctor. I am forever thankful just like
the rest of us and how you feel! I feel we are all blessed!

I went through the same thing- i had to come back in because the mammogram showed a small lump in one breast-when I went back in a second mammogram and an ultrasound were done and because of the irregular shape at the bottom of the growth I had to come back a third time for an actual biopsy-local anesthesia , very little pain, then about 5 incisions to the samples of tumor. Then about 5 very small metal balls were put in to mark the parameters of the tumor for future mammograms to monitor any changes in size or shape-they don't set off any metal detectors. Anyway, as the doctor explained it is most likely benign(there are several different types of benign tumors ) and mine was fortunately benign. There is of course as lot of anxiety until you find out but such a relief to hear it's benign! Best wishes for a clean bill of health and benign results and I hope this helps!

So I realize waiting is the worst part and this could be worse. thank you for sharing
your story. It helps and I am glad everything is ok with you.

I will be praying for you, I had my surgery on july 12 and am doing great. As for the mammogram when I was 36 in 2008, I went for my annual exam my Doc noticed a little thickening in my right breast and sent me for a baseline I went and sure enough they called me maybe 2 days later and said they wanted a repeat and an ultra sound. They promptly set me up a few days later. I went in not to worried because my mom and sister have a history of fibroids in their breast. My mom wen with me and of course they give you the results the same day. Unfortunatly when the Doc came in it was not good news. she was pretty sure it was breast cancer and needed to do a needle biopsy to confirm. I happend to be leaving to Florida for a family vacation that Saturday. She was ok with me putting it off for a week and when I came home next day I was at the office for my biopsy and by the next day it was confirmed I had breast cancer. I was very fortunate to have great Docs throug out the whole process and within 2 weeks I was in surgery and had a radical masectomy on my right breast. Did Chemo and did not have to do Radiation. It was a very trying time in my life 6 months later I went in for a mammo on my left and they found a lump, turned out to be nothing but I opted for them to remove my left breast and had reconstruction. I was not gonna deal with that stress again. My cancer thankfully was caught at an early stage. Stage 1. At this time I am almost 3 years cancer free and feeling great. I chose to have this surgery because I dont want my cancer to come back and I want to try to be as healthy as I can. In most cases and Im sure in yours it will be nothing. Glad to hear you are having your checkups because that is key!! Im sure you will be fine and keep me posted. Good luck to you!

Your Brave and I commend your strength! I am honored to hear your story and in the

Thank you!!! I to will be praying that you are just fine. In so many cases it is nothing so dont stress too much.

As for my sleeve, I am feeling great! The first week was horrendous and I questioned my decision to have this surgery many times.. Things are SOOOO much better 16 days out and best of all I am shrinking!!!! I am in to soft foods now and so thankful for that.. I am so sick of sweet shakes!!! Please keep me posted on your health issue. and let me know if you have any more questions!
