Up 2/12 pounds

I am up 2 1/2 pounds. I went to soup plantation last weekend and it started there with salad dressing looking back.  But really I went to whole foods and ate their premade salad...and i swear the salad dressing gave me the triggers. Today i ate bread for the first time. 1/2 of a turkey sandwhich ...which is unlike me.  then two hours later, I was craving crackers and acted on it.
I have been having the most out of control cravings.  Back to basics tomorrow which does not include greens.  Well, i will see in the morning how i feel.  anyhow....lsopure and shakes for the next few days.......i wanna reset my sleeve and shake this craving out of me.  Its like an allergy.
I have to caztch it before it progresses.

I am also bummed I am at 6 months and can eat more. I wish I had a smaller sleeve.
I have to admit my head is messed up for the first time.  I have to share this and not keep
this a secret.  by doing so stops the power of obsessing.

I hope I get through this.  I never regretted the surgery, but I do have the 6 month blues
about eating more.

ps: I have not eaten cakes, sugars or pies...so i have to be thankful for something...
This is my worst enemy!!@!!  so i have to look at the bright side.

I'm right there with you sister, the carb monster is getting into my head too. I had crackers today too. Those damned things just go down so easily and since they don't fill me up the more I eat the more that snacking demon takes hold. I  was up 1lb this evening.

Be kind of yourself. Everyone messes up. But you know how to get back on track.

I was so upset when I was craving carbs like mad a couple days ago. I was like, it's been less than a week, this isn't supposed to happen!!! But that wasn't real hunger, it was my food addiction. I couldn't get it down if I tried anyhow...

Glad your accounting for it and you know your getting off track. Same thing happened to my my fourth month. I had terrible carb cravings and I totally gave into them. But THANKFULLY... Im back on track.
The firat couple of days your going to have to fight the carb monster but after the 2nd day it gets WAY easier.
Go kick some carb monster ass.

VSG on 11/16/10 with
2 1/2 pounds could be your body hoarding water right now too.  I have experienced the ups and downs of 2 - 3 pounds in this process and I think when your body is ready to lose it, it will let it go.  Having said that, I agree that carbs seem to make me want more carbs.

I recently went back to drinking several protein drinks a day between my eating times, and somehow...between the extra protein and fluids, I am losing well again.  I do eat a little pasta and I do put a little honey in my tea, but the honey has a purpose.  It helps with digestion.

Anyway, at almost 9 months out, my capacity seems to be shrinking with these protein drinks.  I think it's true that when you drink more than eat, our little Sleevies need less.

I am sure this is just your body "adjusting" once again to changes.  You will start losing again in no time!

The bad news is that you will be able to eat more when all the swelling goes down. The good news is that you recognized your behavior and corrected it.

Let's face it ever once in a while we will fall off of the wagon. The key is to jump back on. You should be very proud of your self that you recognized your destructive path. Stopped it and then corrected it.

If you keep doing this you will be very successful.

I highly doubt you ate enough extra calories to gain 2.5lbs.  It ismore than likely water weight from all the different foods you ate.  But that aside, it is good that you are getting yourself back on track.

It is funny how we think we eat sooo much, but I think it is more that we have become accustomed to eating so little that we think we are eating alot. At six months your tummy is probably about completely healed and at its capacity.  Stop and look at how much you can really eat, it would pale in comparison to what you used to be able to eat.  It has all just become so normal to you now to eat tiny that it seems you can eat so much.  We can't go on the rest of our life eating two bites and being full, even though that would be nice.  That is why they call the first six months the "honeymoon" because we can eat so little, now we have to work our sleeves and use self control and judgement.

Hang in there Doc! :)

Thank you to each and every one of you who posted.
I think I have the 6 month Blues. I just know I have read about the honey moon
stage being over at 6 months.

Also, I have to admit I am upset my Surgeon gave me a bigger sleeve than others
or other surgeons at my hospital. I didnt know about a bougie before I had surgery.
It was too late when i found out. So this has always been on the back of my mind.

6 month blues and whole foods salad dressing and beets triggered me.
who knows....but today its an isopure and a RTD shake day.  I want to do this for
3 days.  As Much as I love greens...today is back to basics.

DAM...i am going to miss greens for a few days.  I know its not the greens because i
had excellent weight loss last month.

I hate my mental weak side today. the itty bitty ****ty committee in my head is doing
a number. Thank GOD I get to go to a OA meeting today. I need to dump.

If i dont get this out, the power of obsessing will grow.

Thanks for listening all....  I have the faith this will pass.  I am just afraid of not getting there.....

Maybe just focus on today.  One day at a time.  Don't try thinking about tackling weeks or months.  Just get through today on your plan.

You have done great so far!  Don't let that little devil on your shoulder convince you that you're not awesome!!
