Hey Fellow VSG'ers vet/newbies and those in between.I just wanted to post a quick update about my progress.I have finally manage to scheduled my appointments so that i can finally get my paper work sent off...Nutrition Eval-8/25,Upper GI-9/9,Psych Eval is either 9/1 or 9/8 still waiting for the office to call me back.My blood work was done on 8/1,That's what the nutritionist was calling me about,She got my labs results back.Everything came back good except my Vitamin D,So she is going to have the NP call in a prescription for me at my local rite aid so that i can start taking them now.She also told me that she wants to start taking a multi vitamin which i use to take but it made me EXTREMELY hungry,Has anyone ever experience that when they first started talking vitamins,Anyway i hope that everyone is having a good day congrats to all of those on the loser bench,Save me a seat i should be there soon.

Take your vitamins with food. They work best that way.

Hello there,

I have had a vitamin D deficiency for the last couple of years.  That will not stop or delay your surgery.  They will probably put you on one capsule 50,000 IU taken once a week.  I take mine faithfully and still have labs that are a bit low.  i had weight loss revision last month with no problem.  Try and take some sun, it helps in the absorbtion of vitamin D.  Drink milk as well since it contains vitamin D.

Good luck,

Santos

I've dealt with Vit D deficiency for years even b4 thinking about haing the surgery so it wont effect your surgery but as far as the multi vitamin it could be the kind that your taking but since you have to take then you might as well try the gummy vitamins since that is what you will have to take after the surgery hopefully switching up brands may help with the hunger issue! Our you could also drink a protein shake afterwards to help offset the hunger! Good Luck to you
