A word about Soda & fluid retention...testimonial
All my life I suffered with a soda addiction. I recently dicovered that I love ice tea just as much. I want to make it known that since being off soda,I have noticed some changes in my body. I had fluid retention and is prescribed water pills. My primary care physician said it is the fluid retention that raised my blood pressure. Even when I took the water pills, I still had some significant swelling in my legs and feet.
After being soda free for over a month cant even recognize my feet. All the swelling is gone and I can actually see some bone and ankles. For the past two years they were really swollen and even double EE shoes were a problem most of the time. Now I can see what my feet are supposed to look like, for me preoperatively at this point.
Feel free to repost this..... Soda is bad. Does more damage than I thought actually.

I too was a die hard soda drinker. My feet were always swollen, painfully swollen at times. This year, no swelling at all. I attributed it to my weight loss, but maybe it is because I have stopped the soda addiction. Or maybe a bit of both. I am glad I got off the stuff, absolutely nothing good in it other than the taste.
yeah it could be... Always thought that the worst part of soda was the sugar and or carbonation. Never thought about the swelling . The only thing that I have done differently in the past two years was stop the soda and my feet now appear water free ... amazing
PS The swelling remained with diet soda also. So diet really doesnt make a diffrence.
