Yes, it is going to get better. How long that takes varies from person to person. Some people bounce back in a week. I took five weeks before I really started functioning like myself again.

Are you taking anything for either the heartburn or the nausea? If you don't have RX-strength meds for either, call your doctor and ask for them. I had to try three different heartburn meds before I found the one that worked. (For me it was Aciphex.)

I can't speak to the bubbles in your mouth; I didn't have that. But, I wonder if it doesn't have to do with the nausea. When you're about to vomit your mouth produces excess saliva, so maybe that is what the bubbles are from.

I hope you feel better soon. I know those first days are really rough.

Yes it was the worst for me..for a short while. I had 3 days of vomiting in hosp (ended up being there 6 days) so when I got home it started up. Thinking it was acid reflux I just sat there and tolerated it..only... I could not even sleep.

So one day early than the doc said, I took 1oz of protein drink over an hour to see if that would settle my tummy and stay down. It DID!! Never had it again.

For some reason I produced a LOT of stomach juices and it would just rise and rise..until I moved..and whalla!! HORRIBLE

Now everything is fine, I take my Previced solutabs and doing ok.

Good luck, but I would call your doc's office and see what his RN thinks is best.

Get on the phone to your surgeon NOW. There is NO reason for you to be feeling this lousy. They can give you something for the nausea and for the heartburn, and that will really help you feel so much better !!! I think the bubbles in your mouth is from both the heartburn -- the over production of acid, and the nausea. PLEASE call your doctor and have him get you some prescriptions today !!!

I think, no, I know that once you get this under control, you will feel so much better !

Sorry to hear you are having problems. I was also sleeved on the 18th and I haven't had any of those problems, My doctor gave me a prescription for a nausea patch to go behind my ear. I had to put it there the night before surgery and leave on for three days. Hope you're feeling better soon.

I had a lot of nausea and throwing up from my heart burn. I am now on Nexium (it's a powder I desolved in 1 TBSP of water) and it has been a godsend. Call your surgeon - you shouldn't have to suffer!!

Thanks everyone ...I am a whole lot better today. I was miserable those first few days and like magic I woke up today and it wasnt so hard to get out of bed and the heart burn has calmed down. Not gone yet but I did call the doc and am able to take pepcid which is all I have here so its been a life saver. Once I feel good enough to drive I will try to get some nexium I have feeling this is something I am gonna have to deal with long term. On the plus (negative) side...im down 15 lbs Since i started my pre op liquid fast ... Thanks again
