Hi All,
I just whanted to tell you all about my WOW moment, but it happen at my sisters viewing. My cousin that had not seen me since I had surgery, his wife was bent down talking to my mom, about my sister that pasted. I went behind her to give her a hug, she took a douable take looking at me and called me skinny"which no way yet" My cousin was standing close by and I went to give him a hug and he had a strange look on his face, I really didn't know what was going on, His wife told him who I was, he laughed and said well, I thought I was getting hugs from a strangepretty woman. That has given me a lot of smiles when I think about it, even in a sad time in my life. lost 51 lbs I had my hair curled and his wife was telling Mom about my wig. I was not wearing a wig, lol. My hair is still falling out, but it still looks nice when I curl it. It has been 4 months since surgery, I just wished it would stop anytime now.

God Bless All
Evie

Those are great WOW stories, you have lots to smile about and I am sure your sister would rather see you smile even though it is probably pretty hard to do right now. She would want you to be so happy, I have thick hair so really I can't wait until I am losing my hair but I have very long hair too and will probably get it cut off and a new style once I figure out what will fit my face as it gets slimmer.

My goodness that must have made your day!  I know I went to go on my walk this morning and I grabbed my sweater that has always been snug on me and I had room to move.  It made my day, but I can't wait until I see someone that hasn't seen me in a while to get those compliments...lol  Congrats to you!

Oh, I am sorry you have lost your sister. I lost my younger brother just about 2 years ago, and the hurt just doesn't seem to go away...losing a sibling is like having a body part removed. They say you get used to it, and you adjust; but you are never the same.

My heart goes out to you, in your loss.

But I do love the "who are you" moments ! I recently had lunch with my ex husband, who I haven't seen in about a year. He didn't recognize me, and we were together for almost 20 years ! Ha!

Sounds like you are rockin' it -- your sister, and my brother would be proud of us both !!!

Thank you so very much for all the kind words. Briar you really understand about losing a sibling, it is like a part of you has died also. I know she is in a better place and yes I feel they both are happy for us. It is very hard to watch my Mom greave, she is 86.
God Bless you all

I do soooo get this.  We are a small family.  Lost my mom to ovarian cancer 8 years ago, and my brother to H1N1 alost 2 years ago.  My dad is 85 years old, and this has aged him intensely.  It was my brother's loss that intensified my desire and need to get healthy for my daughter -- my only child, whose family grows smaller all the time.....
