POPCORN

I was just cleared for regular foods not long ago and so have been doing a lot of experimenting to figure out what I do and don't tolerate.  Not so much because I plan on adding these things into my diet (there's really not room with all the protein and water), but just because I'd feel better about trying something new in a controlled environment (at home) than to get a burst of adventurousness when I'm out and about, only to find out it's a bad idea.

Man, am I glad I took this route before going to a movie theater!  I just tried microwave popcorn this weekend and it did NOT go well... burning pain, sweats, it sucked.  Oddly, caramel corn didn't pose any problem when I tried it a few weeks ago, go figure.

I agree with Frisco. You have to work your tool because it is only a tool. If I don't change my eating habits and lifestyle, I will never reach my goal. The only person I am kidding is me if I do not follow my food plan. It takes a lot of meal planning, calorie & carb counting, and dedication to suceed. YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.
Good luck in changing your thinking.

I eat popcorn daily. I am 14 months out. I always share a bag with my husband so I don't over do it. I get the light so it's under 200 calories. It is a slider food but for me its a good snack to curb my appetite. I would not even consider it at your stage.
