To DrHollywood:
I'm just learning about the VSG, so I'd like to know why (6 mos. after surgery) you are still just drinking shakes and not really eating solid food.

I have a question, I had revision surgery from lap band to sleeve the same day you had surgery.  Based on what you are eating, I am eating more than you.  I usually have three meals that are equivalent to at least four ounces each meal and I am allowed two snacks.  Could it be that I am over eating?

I also switched from a band to a sleeve (yay!). I think it depends on what you're eating. If it's dense protein, there'd be absolutely no way I could get 4oz down. I'm lucky to get 2oz of it down. My surgeon and nutritionist don't want snacks involved, just three solid meals but I know other programs allow them so it's kind of whatever your program calls for. If I do have to have a snack it's usually a string cheese or something semi-dense protein.

Good luck with your surgery! It looks like you're doing great!
