Great pic! I love the yard of bricks.

I grew up in Speedway (it was a lot different then) and I'm a regular at the Indy 500. I don't really love other races being held there as that will always be an Indy car track to me, but that is beside the point and doesn't really matter! lol

Hey BuckeyeGirl,

I too will always think of Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the Indy 500

But did you know that the inaugural race held at that track was a Motorcycle Race in 1909.....That's why MotoGP was invited to Indianapolis in 2009 for it's 100 year anniversary. Fun Fact !

Oh man...now that you say that, I do have a hazy recollection of that fact from the track tours and museum visits I had as a youngster.

Ok, I'll let the MotoGP slide then, but I can still hate those clunky, slow NASCARs running on there, right?? :)
