OMG!! I have gone up 7lbs!!!

Oh my gosh! I stepped on the scale this morning and I have gained 7lbs and my pre-op is on the 13th.  I have to get this off. Damn............Damn..............Damn!!!!

Cut the carbs to drop a few pounds quickly. Before the sleeve, if I eliminated bread and potatoes, I could lose several pounds in a short amount of time.

Cut out all carbs immediately!  No bread, pasta, potatoes, processed food.  I always eat protein first and then my veggies.  I have a good quality protein, lowest sugar conent i can find every morning.

I followed this very closely from August 2 to Augest 25th (pre op appointment) and I lost 9 pounds..... 5 pounds of fat, 4 pouds of water.  Kept all my muscle.  

Also .... keep in mind that we women fluctuate water weight .....

don't get discouraged!  You can do it!

 me and you both girl I put on 10!! my surgery is on the 13th and I have been having a little farewell to food party a little too much!! I hade a pure fruit smoothie for BF and I am cutting the bread, rice and pasta!!

Could be some water, avoid all sodas diet or other, cut out ALL carbs, limit fruit, cut out carb veggies (corn, potatoes, etc). Also cut out oatmeal, cereal, sugar, you name it.

And if you already did all that above - then water, water, water. Pound it.

And depending on your surgeon is the results you'll get on the muscle vs. fat argument. Mine refuses to accept that statement, I was banished from the thought the first time I said it. He said "nonsense, more muscle makes you burn more fat - if you are doing everything right, counting EVERY BITE you eat, you'll lose, no excuses". Hopefully yours is a little more understanding LOL.

Try replacing a meal with a protein shake, and water water water.  Good luck!
