That I don't have to do a 2 week pre-op liquid diet. However my surgeon did suggest that I drink two protein shakes as a meal replacement and eat one sensible meal. Although not a requirement. His only requirement is not to gain any weight. If I gain he will cancel the surgery.  Talk about stress. However I will do this.  I have been eating sensibly and I have a protein shake for breakfast but it literally takes me 2-3 hours to drink it. I have tried a diffrent brand every day this week and they all suck. I hate them. It is literally time for me to eat lunch by the time I finish my shake.  I have drank the pre-made ones like Oh yeah. I am going to try my chike powder one tomorrow.

I really like the Syntrax Nectar powders.  They are the only ones I drink, mainly because they aren't thick and there is a variety of flavors.  My favorites are Crystal Sky, Twisted Cherry, Kiwi Strawberry and Apple Ecstacy.  You can buy them a few places online like mybariatricpantry.com.

Good luck!  The two weeks will fly by and a couple months from now, they will be a distant memory.

Hello sleeve sister! We have the same date. My surgeon has the same pre op requirements. I will replace breakfast with protein shakes starting tomorrow and I plan to go to gym everyday. I had too many food funerals and I gained a few pounds. I need to shake off five pounds like TODAY! I need to keep my date for sept 14!

I totally agree the protein shakes suck.  I tolerate Preimer Protein shakes in chocolate.  It has 30 gram  and is premade .  Best of luck!

Try Jay Robb's Unflavored Whey Protein Isolate ... it's not bad -- I mix it in with water and can drink it just like that -- it really doesn't have any taste -- or I also mix it in w/some hot tea (flavored tea - like berry tea) or I even mix in in a blender w/some ice, milk, a little sugar free chocolate syrup, etc ...  also works good when you mix in with jello when you make that.  I also mix it in w/my water and the crystal light.  And, I don't mix a full huge scoop in, but since I have to drink so much liquid throughout the day, I can mix in 1/2 a scoop or even a little less w/every 10 oz of water and sip, sip, sip and then do it again, and by the time the day is over I've gotten in all my protein.  This seems to work for me.  Oh - and you can get Jay Robb's on autodelivery so it comes to your home every month if you want.
