Hair Loss Yikes 4 monts out lossoing it for 4 weeks
Hi. I know it varies on people but my nutritionist at the doctors office just talked to me about this issue. I have hair that is fairly thick and goes down to my waist.
She has now told me at least 4 times that I have to keep my protein up and even though it won't prevent my hair loss, it may help keep it to a minimum and on average, I would lose about 100 hairs a day.
On the other hand, she did say it will come back in, so not to panic.
Sounds like I could expect it to start any time and continue for about 6 months or so, it just depends on our body's reaction to the weight loss and how we are eating according to the nutritional needs.

Everyone is different. Mine last 3 solid months.
I know some that experience for 2-3 months, and then know others experienced for 8-9 months.
Nothing will stop it. Nothing really helps it grow back completely.
No amount of protein, biotin, snake oil, shampoos is going to make it grow back any faster.

Make sure you eating properly, get in healthy fats and protein, taking your multi, get your labs pulled to make sure you are not deficient in anything, and if you want you can take Biotin, but don't be surprised if it doesn't help.

Im 5 months out and my hair loss just started. Ill be honest. I didnt have a whole lot to work with anyway. My scalp was already showing and that is why I cut my hair of short short short. My hubby jokingly said "think of all the money we will save on hair products." LOL my reply was ummm no Im going hat shopping in the mall of americs hat store!!!!!
Sorry to hear about your hair loss. Bummer. I'm 4 months out and no hair loss...Yet. But during one of our meetings this subject came up. The Nutritionist said that any hair loss could last up to one year. But, it will come back. Maybe not as thick as before, but it will return. Hang in there. It will get better.
