Question for you Vets out there
What do you eat for breakfast?  I always had high carb foods pre surgery (toast, cerel eggs occaionally with lots of white bread toast of course)  now other than protien shakes (which I do not really like) and eggs I am at a loss what to eat that would be good for me.

It might be too soon for this, but turkey sausage and whole-grain toast when you're allowed regular food again.
It's better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you're not.

greek yogurt
cottage cheese
scrambled egg w/ cheese
laughing cow cheese wedges
light string cheese
turkey sausage patties/links
sliced ham

Hope these ideas help!

Think outside the box.  You don't have to have "breakfast" foods for breakfast.  When I eat breakfast (lately I've been having protein coffee in the am), it's often the prior night's leftovers, or some shrimp, or just about anything else that's in the fridge.

I have usually a Light Yoplait Yogurt or small container of cereal with 1/4 cup of skim milk, or I go to McDonald's and have a Round Egg on an English Muffin and throw away 1/2 the English Muffin.
