sleeved and finally home.

i got sleeved on thursday morning... during the surgery there was an issue with an artery that was attached to the spleen and it got knicked.  bleeding took about 10 minutes to control during operation.  woke up nauseous and in some pain and whined until they gave me anti-emedics for nausea.  surgery was at 730 and lasted until 1045 and was out of recovery around 2 p.m. and in my room.  that day was a blur, in and out of sleep, etc... friday was much more pain and nausea but overall feeling a little bit more alive.  today was even better but just started fluids by mouth yesterday afternoon and had only tolerated water until today when i had tea, broth, and sugar free popsicles.  i got home today (saturday) after 130 p.m.  one day later than expected.

hanging in there so far, sipping and walking, still really tired.  running a low grade fever yesterday and today between 99-100.2 but they said that was normal and not to worry unless it was over 101.  hopefully it won't go that high.  i will tell you that the loritab tastes ridiculously bad, but is well worth it.  :)

good luck to all.  any other 9/29 sleevers out there yet?

Thanks everyone... day 4 is a little more uncomfortable than i was thinking would be.  really want a sandwich right now!!!!!  hungry but can't even get my water in to the amount my doc wants yet.  looking at tomorrow getting at least 40 ounces of water in hopefully.  didn't take pain meds last night but think i'm going to take them tonight to keep my low grade fever at bay (only 99.5 but don't want it going higher) and hopefully get some much needed sleep.

walking alot, just through my house, but still up and walking.  visiting nurse came and gave me lovenox for blood thinner shot and checked vitals.  said heart rate was a little high but i checked it the rest of the day and was fine for me.  was only 88-92 when she checked it.  doc said only worry if over 120.

having hiccups a lot... not sure why because its not necessarily when i'm drinking anything.  just a weird side effect.
