"Freezing to death" right before bed

Just curious if anyone else in the cooler states has the following reaction...

I'm colder in general now.  However, I have found that as I lay down to sleep, I suddenly feel like I'm freezing to death.  I'll be fine running around in my pjs all evening, but right as I first lay down to sleep, I get very cold.  I've had to add sweatpants, fuzzy socks, an extra shirt, and extra comforters, but still can't get warm!  Our thermostat will be at 72 or 74, but I'll still be cold.  Anybody else have this right before falling asleep?

So glad u posted this... i thought i was the only one..lol. I get cold beyond freezing right before bed and during the day but worse at night. I tried looking it up and i couldnt find anything other then someone saying it could be due to dehydration. but i am at 4 months and it has gotten a little better.

I'm in California and I'm experiencing this.  Last night i was so tired i lay there freezing because i know that I'd be colder if i got up, took me hours to fall asleep.  This from a woman who used to sleep with just a sheet.  I have 2 comforters on my bed.  Last night it was 70 degrees.  Serious temp changes going on in this here bod and I've lost weight before.  I had a band before this and 10 years ago i lost 100lbs.  I've never experienced anything like this.

Welcome to my world!  I'm hypothyroid and I've been like this since 2003 when I was diagnosed. When it starts to get really cold around here, I put an electric blanket on the bed and turn it on about 15 minutes before I get in and it feels soooo warm and cozy.  I turn it off before I begin to fall asleep but I stay warm all night long.

Sounds like it could be low iron that is making you cold. Try a iron supplement. If your taking one already up your dosage.

OMG, thanks for pointing that out!!! I had low iron even before surgery.  The one thing I haven't been dillagent about since surgery is taking my iron pill at night.  I will definitely start taking it again, and see if that helps!!!

Your welcome I take my iron support 3x a day. I drink lots of water so I don't get constipated or you can add a fiber support. But I just add more water to my day so I dont have to add anything else to what I'm already doing. Once you start taking your iron more consistently and up your dosage you will began to get hot or just be comfortable. When you start feeling that way you will know then that your iron level is stable and I believe that will solve the problem.

Support--supplement I ment to say my iPhone changed the word on me and I didn't notice.

I am also hypothyroid, and I also put my electric blanket on 15 minutes before I go to bed in cooler weather.  I have to have comforters on the bed year round.  The only time I get really warm is when I am hyperthyroid and my meds need adjusted.  I have not noticed being as cold lately, probably because my meds are high enough to keep me a little warmer due to decreasing body mass.
