24 days post op and have some discomfort from sitting

After my surgery I asked my doctor if it would be ok to travel 3 hours for a wedding.  I was 2 1/2 weeks post op,  He said if I felt up to it I could.  The three hours in the car was ok by left me uncomfortable especially after the ride home.  Now I'm uncomfortable when I sit for any length of time.   I work on a computer all day so there is no way to avoid it.   Once I stand or lay down I'm fine, it is almost like that fat roll under the boobs is irritated something.

Otherwise, I can cough, sneeze, laugh, burp, hiccup with no problem and no pain so I haven't really concerned myself with it.  My boyfriend is upset about it and wanted me to put it out there to see if anyone else has had discomfort from sitting for a long time.

Hi there!  I was going to go back to my desk job 4 weeks after surgery, I had to postpone it an extra week because of being uncomfortable sitting for long periods of time.  Everyone is different, I was so worried that irritated because I saw so many people posting how they were back to work after 2 or 3 weeks, but that just wasn't my situation.  We all heal differently and for me, it just took a little longer.  So, you are totally normal, just taking a little more time to heal.  Good luck to you, all the pain and uncomfort will be gone before you know it!

I have the same pain, wake up feeling great and by the end of the day feel horrible. The more I sit the worse it is. I go back to work next Friday and am wondering if I should try some kind of compression garment since it feels like I'm pulling something. Hope you start to feel better soon.
