tomato soup and grilled cheese.  It's one of my favorites and as the weather gets cooler it has always been a staple in our house.  Of course in the past I would eat 3 grilled cheese sandwiches dipped in the tomato soup.

I will of course feed it to my children but the two pieces of bread needed to make the grilled cheese is definitely out.

So how can I make a grilled cheese style dipping thing for my tomato soup, without you know the bread?

Sorry to ask but have you had surgery yet?
Depending where your at with your journey and I suggest to try this
when your way further out is  P28 Protein Bread.  If you are pre-op go for it.
If you had surgery recently and I even mean by a few months  ...wait.

sorry I'm pre-op but my nut has me on a high protein low carb diet now.  Not as extreme as after the surgery but bread isn't regularly on the menu.

Nope bread isnt usually on anyones plan early out. but when people start experiencing
again, they factor in the carb count and try on occasion the P28 bread, or lavish bread, or something they count into their food plan.  There is no right or wrong. Just what works for you.

What about a quesadilla with Joseph's Lavash bread, assuming you are far enough out?

Even a slice of the low calorie Sara Lee bread is 45 calories a slice. I keep some in the freezer -- for those days that I KNOW I will have to eat in the car on the way to or from a meeting, and need a one handed lunch....

Here is a link to a post from a week or two ago.  It's "fried" cheese.  I tried this a couple of days ago and it was FABULOUS!  I used a few drops of EVOO on the cheese and a bit of garlic powder, then browned it on each side in a skillet.
