Little history:  3 weeks out, at 1 1/2 weeks out was in ER for dehydration, bp dropped very low (70/40).  followed up with PCP and Surgeon and everything good.   Going back to PCP tomorrow for another follow up and surgeon in 2 weeks.

I've had some dizziness/lightheadedness when waking in morning and going from lying/sitting to sitting/standing.  it only lasts for a minute or two then stops.  The past 2 days in the morning when I have stood up my vision kind of blacks out for a few seconds.  then comes right back and i'm fine.  According to my home blood pressure it's ok (this morning was 115/68), but i'm only taking it when i am sitting, haven't tried from sitting to standing yet.

Heard it can be blood pressure, low potassium from what i've read on here.  I'm taking 2 centrum chewables + 4 calcium citrate daily and 3 doses of b 12 per week.

Anyone else have this happen?  It's frustrating and scary.

I had this issue before VSG.  It turned out to be low B12, made worse by slight dehydration.  For whatever reason, my body stopped absorbing the B12 I was eating.  I now give myself monthly B12 shots.

How are you taking your B12?  Pill, sublingual, shot?

I'm not sure if my experience has anything to do with your symptoms, but I thought I'd share.

dehydration can definitely cause low bp which causes the dizziness.. its really easy to get dehydrated in the weeks post op as you have experienced. drink, drink, drink.

definitely have your surgeon or pcp send out full labs. some of your levels could be off too.

Google "orthostatic hypotension".

HTH, and hugs,
