I just can't do it
I like the Unjury Chicken Soup flavor, and the Nectar Syntrax chocolate truffle flavor. I also got a tub of Optimum Nutrition Carmel Toffee Fudge flavor which is put in my decaf coffee every morning. Have you tried the hot chocolate mixes? I think they taste great!

Good luck!
Honestly, you just do it, loving it is not necessary in the equation, sure it would be nice to enjoy our food, but in the beginning that was just not possible for me...I have drank some of the nastiest concoctions in the pursuit of health...way worse than the flavor of the protein shakes...I'm talking the wheat grass, alfalfa, kale stuff....
I was very lactose intolerant pre-op and in the beginning post-op, and the vegetable protein shakes are grainier and gaggier, but I choked them down sip by sip.....and I added kale, blueberries, almond milk, etc....I found that mango did the best job of covering the taste, so when I discovered that in the frozen section, I added that to my shakes more often than not...
Also peanut butter hides the taste well, when put in chocolate or vanilla varieties and if you can handle it, a little banana with it....I also added flavorless egg white powder to up the protein.
So my only suggestion, is to try mixing up some stuff in it, see if that helps the flavor, or just get them down the hatch anyway...so you can meet your protein needs.
Oh, and BTW...I could never add to hot items, gross, it gets too clumpy and I'd just rather not eat those clumps....I'd rather drink something I don't like, than eat chunks of something I don't like.
But honestly, now I don't eat the shakes that often anymore, and when I do, I enjoy them, because I can eat whey again, and to me, they taste really good compared to the plant protein and vegan ones I was doing. My fave whey brand is Isagenix Vanilla (have to buy online or find a dealer) or EAS Myoplex Lite Chocolate (in most vitamin stores).

Im in the same boat u are in! i cant do any of them either. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying different kinds and I cant do it! The only thing I can tolerate is the new whey protien shots but everyone says that its not a complete protien. But i think imma go back to them because thats better than nothing!
I still drink 1 premier choc shake per day, try adding it to your hot cocoa it works well and doesnt clump, could try adding it to your coffee as well instead of creamer... and try freezing it into protein fudgesicles...
the powders you could try adding it to baking when your a little further out ... but as i said, i stuck to premier protein i couldnt stand the consistancy of the powders too grainy for me...

I liked EAS and Muscle Milk Light before surgery but now I can't stand any of them and they give me diarrhea. I did try eggface's recipes for protein ice cream and I have been getting extra protein in that way and with greek yogurt and it does really well in an ice cream maker too with some fresh frozen berries. I am in love now!
I've had a hard time too. I finally settled on Inspire brand protein powder. You might try that. They have a few dessert themed flavors like cinnammon cappucino and peanut butter cookie. I've also heard they are rolling out two fruit flavors this fall. It's a whey isolate, so it doesn't have as much of that nasty aftertaste some protein has. You can mix it with water or milk. Serving size is one scoop at 30 grams protein.
I order from the hospital where I had my surgery, but I'm sure it's available elsewhere.

I couldn't stand some of the ones you've tried- I did order this, and found my favs.. I now only supplement with Nectar Unflavored (better IMO than Unjury, taste wise) and Nectar Iced Tea.. Click is good, caffeine may be too much for your system early out- it's not a diuretic (except in very very large amounts) but the caffeine itself may make you feel not too good.. it took me a couple months, before that it just felt like pure speed.
Here's the best $$ on a 13 flavor selection of the Nectars, some I hated, some were ok, some I loved.. maybe you will get lucky. I cannot tolerate the "milky" protein stuff, or anything too sweet- just not my thing, but some of the flavors are good- iced tea, lemonade, fuzzy navel, grapefruit.. and the nice thing is- you can dilute the heck outta them if needed.. so you can customize the taste intensity!
From an email I got:

I'm not an expert, but I drank (and still do) a lot of milk. There's times now that I can't figure out what I want, so I get a glass of milk and suddenly it's hours later and I realize that I wasn't hungry after all.
Milk has 1gm of protein per oz. so if you have 2-3 glasses of plain old milk that's an easy 24gms. I was never a milk drinker before surgery, couldn't stand the stuff, but now I love it.
Best wishes on this journey.
