Yesterday I just got my 6 month labs back, and things looked good... except they said I need to eat more protein and take B12/iron less often (once a week instead of daily). So, I want to try to up my protein intake from 60-70 a day, to 80+ a day. I need to find some great ways to do that

On that note... what is your favorite high protein (>10 grams per "serving" food? So far, on my list, I have:
- Large nonfat latte from Caribou(15 grams protein, 140 cals)
- one ounce Turkey Jerky (15 grams of protein, 80 cals)

Always been a fan of chicken! I make a salad that has cut up white chicken breast meat, almonds, some low fat cheddar cheese, broccoli, green peppers, some mayo and curry powder. I eat it either cold or warm both are good!

what do you wanna be when you grow up little girl? i wanna be a loser and sit on the bench sir! (45 lbs lost pre op) 300lbs starting weight, currently 141lbs! Lowest has been 135lbs and hoping to get back to that.

That sounds delicious. Are you willing to share your recipe?

Most cuts of beef have 7grams an ounce. Fish is really high in protein too.

I LOVE hemp hearts, give stuff such a yummy nutty flavor. I added them to a parmasian coating for my chicken the other night and then baked it, came out fantastic!

I really like "homecooked," "real" type foods.

I made some amazing baked tangy chicken thighs (11 grams protein)  this week.

I also love homemade turkey chili (17 grams of protein) -- it has become my go-to comfort food that is easy to heat up and always settles well in my sleeve.

When I don't take my lunch to work, I get a turkey burger patty (11 grams for half) with mushrooms and swiss cheese from the grill and eat half for lunch and half for dinner with a few steamed veggies on the side.

I get more satisfied from warm, substantial food more so than cold, snacky food, I think.

I also start my day with a protein shake, just to make sure I hit the high end of my protein goals.  I'd rather be over 80 than closer to 60.

I have not had surgery yet, but greek yogurt has 26 gms of protein for a cup, not that you can eat that much  . Also quinoa has alot of protien, but its a grain so I dont know how that works even though it has alot of protein. You could also mix some protein powder in with your yogurt, scrambled eggs etc.
