How to get back to the basics?

So I was doing really good, but now i'm stuck at 174 only 9lbs away from my goal, I try to work out at least 20 mins if not everyday then every other day.  I still have good restriction but I can eat more bits and can stomach bread again.  So my question is how do I get back to the basics so I can finally get there I lost or threw away the instructions I did have from my doctor.  Can anyone help!!!

I've heard it does get tougher as you get closer.

As for getting back to the basics, the only way to do that is just to...go back to the basics. Make a plan - I can give you the one I follow but it's not the one everyone follows:

Eat protein foods - meat, cheese, etc. (my plan calls for 70 to 80 g)
Lower carbs, especially simple carbs (like bread) and sugars like fruit (I stay below 40)
600-800 calories is my target
64 oz plus of fluids
Exercise regularly

I track everything I eat on myfitnesspal.com. Good luck!

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

I would say log what you are eating so you can get an idea of where and what to cut.  You need to make sure your getting Protein first and water water water.  You already have the exercise down.  I think it you just make a few simple changes you get those last stubborn 9 lbs. off.  Good luck to you.  Kerry

All of the above. Are you measuring your food? I would. Sometimes portions can "grow" over time. If you aren't tracking your intake, you should do that as well. It's easier to figure out what's wrong that way. Try to stick to the denser proteins and plenty of fluids. Bread is not your friend. I still have some on occasion, but not often and when I do, it's a 1/2 of an Arnold Thin roll or a bagel thin.
