I didn't spend too much time worrying about what i was going to eat prior to going to my families houses... i knew i would have a bite of several good things and that was all.  And that's what i did!  Some turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and sliver of cranbury sauce at my mom's (total weight about 2 oz.) and a bite of yams and a bite of pumpkin pie filling at my in-laws.  (tiny tiny tiny bite of each).  Turned down the stuffing, the brownies, the broccoli and cheese casserole, etc... The only parts that were difficult was the brownies and cookies because they smelled delicious!

I was actually able to enjoy my family's company and not just be concentrated on the food.  Was still a terrific holiday!  Last Thanksgiving I wasn't even considering surgery and probably obsessing over how much I ate and how I was going to get the weight off after turkey day.  Was really nice to know that I could still taste and not die if i didn't stuff myself.

Good times!

I too really enjoyed my Thanksgiving dinner, couple of bites of grilled turkey, couple of bites of smoked turkey, a bite of cranberries, squash and couple of olives.  YUM.

Took my time, resisted the "one more bite," well resisted the 2nd "one more bite" anyway... :)
Love my sleeve!
Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was great.

Wasn't it great to wake up this morning and NOT regreat the sheer quantity of food you put in your body on Thanksgiving? :D

I noticed that I was much more conversational than focusing on the food.  In the past I would have been shoveling it in and thinking of going back for seconds!!  It's so nice to be totally satisfied on so little food and just enjoy the time spent with family.
