Started out with some thin cut Sukiyaki Beef Rib-Eye.......

Thinking I was gonna make some Mini Bariatric Beef Roulade (rolled up stuff)

Rolled in some, spinach, cream cheese, feta, olive topanade, pesto......salt pepper garlic powder.....

Pan Roasted.......

Well.....were talking looking a lot more like 6 piece Sushi !!!!!

Very fast..... 10 minute meal....

Beef: each piece is approx 1/4 ounce by weight before cooking.

This is getting unfair.  I want to have some right now. "stomping feet".  Oh, that looks so good.  Going to have to go to the store now.  My husband just mentioned dinner, I am going to show him your masterpiece. This looks like a new favorite.

That beef came from Marukai near you.....

Spent the nite at my moms for Thanksgiving......I usually shop at Marukai or Mitsuwa or Nijiya in Mt. View. I think Marukai is best for meat and seafood. Jimbo probably knows better than I ....

Never figured you to be a "Foot Stomper!"

Sorry, lost my head there for a minute due to the insatiable lust for the food.  You do know you are dealing with food addicts, right?  If I could have just licked the screen, I would have done it.  But instead my dear husband just went to Marukai for the beef and the spinach.  Already have everything else.  You are one dangerous dude with your photography, it has unpredictable effects on us females.

Uhhh..... you already know this....but...you married the right guy!

Couple notes.... Spinach was a blanched first ......tooth pick to hold together during cooking...other wise...anything goes....!

I'm a bit far from Marukai -

If I want to try to find this meat up here in Sac, what exactly do I ask for?

First you need to find a Japanese Market....

The meat is sliced thin and precise....It is used in Sukiyaki, Yakiniku and other Japanese dishes.

*On another note.... I've been finding the best, freshest, cheapest seafood at Chinese Markets.

The grades very from less-expensive stringy cuts used in Rice Bowls....to Kobe Grade....In the picture I used Rib-Eye.

A quick google search shows an Oto's Market in Sacto.....

OK kind of new to the boards... just how many people do you cook for?  Because if you don't do it for a lot you should.  Everything always looks amazing and I can't wait to get past my mushies to try out some of these fabulous looking recipies !     Very nice of you to share.
