Sodium Hates me

My wife and I really don't use much salt in or on our foods at all.  So I think my body is extra sensitive.  At least I realize it now though.  On Saturday I had two meals that I knew were higher in sodium one of which was beef jerkey.  Everyday I have been losing weight.  Then on Sunday morning I had actually gained 1lb.!!!!  I didn't freak out because I told my wife I knew it was the sodium.  Sure enough yesterday I stuck to my protein shake in the morning, lunch and had just my regular meals of protein something at night.  This morning I was down 2.3 lbs!!  I drank over 100 OZ. of fluids too....

Does sodium affect you in the same way?

Sodium hates me to, so do onions even though I love them.  Makes me feel like a water balloon.

I love beef jerky, but so far my sleeve doesn't. Don't know. Maybe that's a good thing.

Just an FYI - for cooking I found Morton's Lite Salt. It's higher in potassium than sodium which is good for a high protein diet.

Sodium does not like me as well!! I have always had problems with sodium and water retention but I thought after the sleeve I could eat beef jerky, maybe sunflower seed kernels, but it has definitely back fired on me!!! I could not understand why I could not get off of 207lb for about 2 weeks,  even with exercising! 

As hard as it was, I decided to give up beef jerky and the sunflower seed kernels and stick with the meat and cheese and to my surprise in one week I am down to 201lbs!!!  As much as I like salty things, I will stay away from them until I am in maintenance that's for sure!!!

 Yes, I have the same issue. Beef Jerky gets me every time, that's why I only keep it around for emergencies!

I too am very sodium sensitive.  I am up 2 lbs from having chinese food two days in a row.  I always retain water with chinese food....but in general, if it is stir fried it is pretty healthy.  So I am trying to not be too upset about it.  Trying to work on the water....I still have problems getting all my water in.  Working on it.

Guess we are all in the same boat....
