A post about the Sleeve on the band board...
I really can't combat the dumb over there anymore, I must give up for my own sanity. If anyone would like to go read the post and point out the false information in it that would be great. The person who posted it CONSISTENTLY posts false information about the Sleeve as a way to keep people from choosing it over the band. I have gone round and round with her, and I just end up frustrated and wanting to punch a puppy, someone else care to take up the fight? LOL

I have noticed that on the main board people are really rude and actually mean to one another. I usually just look at this forum. There is one lady over there that has had DS and man oh man is she mouthy and full of herself. lol I just come here and leave no more checking other forums for me. LOL
I went and commented. I generally don't. That lady is a douche. I read some of her past comments when I was looking to revise. I generally stay in safely on this board, with a very rare wander to the Main Forum. I figure if someone wants to revise, they will find their way over here. That's what I did.

What do you object to about the post? I know that the OP of that post often bashes the sleeve, but this post is factual. It is interesting to see what she highlights and what she chooses to leave alone, but other then that, what is troubling you about it? There are positives and negatives to every surgery. Some of the "negatives", like the fact that it is irreversible are a positive in my book. I would not take my stomach back for a million dollars. I am not sure why anybody would choose the band, but my doctor told me there might be cases where it is the best option. Don't really know what those could be except some medical issue, I really can't see it. It's good nevertheless, that people have informed choices. I did not see the bias in this article that you saw.
I just read some of your responses. I agree, it leaves out some great data.

It's not the article, that's OK (although lacking quite a bit of information for anyone doing real research), it's her highlighting and really it was the other post that got my panties in a bunch. I am over it, I think I honestly need to block her, but I really do fear for pre-ops who take her word as gospel.
