I can't believe how - normal (?) - I'm starting to become.

I walk up the stairs with my coworkers without getting out of breath.  My stomach no longer enters a room one second before I do.  I'm wearing regularly-sized clothing (large, x-large, and even big-cut mediums!).  I still refer to myself as being fat, and people look at me like I'm crazy.  I'm no longer "the biggest" guy in my family/work/social circle.  People tell me I don't slouch like I used to.

When I brush my teeth, even, my stomach is no longer sittiing on the countertop in front of the sink. I'm even fitting into the largest size of "slim straight" Levi 514s (36 waist), and they are looser than tighter ... (and I must say, I actually think I'm starting to look good in clothing for once).

If I lose 14 more pounds, I'll technically have a BMI of "normal"!
 (*faints*)
I'm not sure I ever thought that a BMI of under 25 was a possibility in my lifetime before surgery.

Actually... that really encapsulates how I feel.

I think 6 weeks ago I was trying on "inspirational" clothes that were still too tight... now they are starting to be too baggy?  And I hardly got to wear them!

*sigh*  All these terrific geeky T-shirts....

It really is mind blowing how fast this thing goes.  You are almost done with this stage, maintenance is right around the corner.  Dr. C has a lot less to say about maintenance, it's more you.  It's an exciting transition.  Can't wait to read your GOAL post.  Happy Holidays.

The thing is... I'm starting to think about moving my goal back a few pounds... I feel like I have more than 17 pounds to lose.... maybe 25 or 30?  It's hard to tell with this extra skin :(

I would tell you to keep going until you are happy and maybe even a few more after that.  It is easy to put it back on and much harder to lose once you are maintaining for a while.  The weight is melting off of you now, just go with it.
