Hiccups
Congrats on your WLS. Hiccups ( if you are getting them after you drink your shake or water ) is a indication to you that your pouch is full. We all experience hiccups at one time or another or all the time for that matter. Don't let that bother you. You will get use to it. Congrats again and have a Merry Christmas !!!

Yesterday was my first experience with hiccups. Just and odd one here and there, but it didn't make me happy. Yesterday was also a day that I nearly doubled my caloric intake. I never felt overly full or anything, but I am going to scale back today in case it was related. The hiccups also came more than an hour after eating.
Congrats on being sleeved and I wish you a speedy recovery!!

Yes....I get hiccups....and I also sneeze. You have just found your "indicator" that you are full. Eat past those hiccups and you'll feel uncomfortable or perhaps get sick. You're one of the lucky ones...some people don't have indicators and find out the hard way! Relax and enjoy your sleeve. It's going to be a great new year for you!

Before surgery I used to tease my assistant because she would always hiccup loudly and randomly. Now since surgery, I'm doing the same thing. It has nothing to do when I eat because they're very random. I have only one or two at a time but they're LOUD and somewhat embarrassing. I do hope they stop soon because I'd hate that to happen when I'm in my managers meeting.
