will I never learn?

I have a hard time with eating too fast, on top of sometimes taking too big a bite. Tonight I was mindlessly eating I guess and I ate fast and now I'm paying for it.. so uncomfortable. I think when I eat too fast I miss the early signals of fullness and then overdo it.

I have done that twice and it was the most miserable feeling EVER! It all ended up coming back up....lesson learned.

Oh my gosh you threw up even? See I have had that feeling a couple times.. once when I thought something felt stuck but ended up I was just really full but not knowing I took a sip of water to help get it down.. big mistake.. nausea hit instantly and my mouth got all watery, sat by the throne but nothing came up.. I was terrified. So when it comes up is it pretty much the same as when it went down?

In the beginning, yes. I laughed because the same way it tasted going down was the same way it tasted coming back up. However, I had the same experience two months out and no, it wasn't the same! I guess by that point your body has digested most of it but it still wasn't as bad as any preop throw up.

Just don't do it!

Have those same problems.   The first time I did that with some chicken I thought I was going to die.   I walked and paced and did everything I could think of and then finally threw up.   I have to say that was the one and ONLY time I had to experience that.  And yes when we eat too fast our minds don't catch up to realize we are full.   I think I have gotten better at chewing and I actually now walk away from my food in order to pace myself.  Give it time and you will find your own groove too.

Good Luck !

When you do forget I have found walking around helps - sitting just makes it much worse.  Good luck!
