First I called my clinic to make sure I could take gel caps.. could ony speak with the nurse and she didn't really sound like she knew for sure, but said go ahead and then once my throat is not swollen and sore to get a bottle of the prenatals.
Well I took the pill, i tsaid to take with a meal so I popped it in at lunch time and proceeded to get mine and my son's lunch. Sat down to eat my soup only a few mins later and OMG instant stomcach ache.  I ate a bit more to get that food in and had a cheese stick but the bellyache lasted about an hour. Very unpleasant.
Does anyone else have troubles taking their multi?

Ditto. Chewable vitamins are strongly recommended--by most surgeons/NUTs/programs--for newly post-op pts. If you are having trouble finding the right vitamins, PM, I have  very few samples of Bariatric Advantage multi-Vs left. I personally use Centrum Orange (+Fe).  Hope you feel better!

I have always had to eat the food first. The second it hits my empty tummy I throw up.

Multivitamins often make me nauseous. I find that it helps to have a few bites of food before and after taking mine. I have also switched to a Bariatric Advantage chewable that seems easier on my stomach than other formulations I have tried.

I really like the Baratric Fusion chewable vitamins . . . tasty and you only have to take 1 twice a day and it has all the vitamins you need.
