How good/bad does Optifast taste?

I'll be starting on it in a few weeks. I'm not terribly picky in general, but I HATE splenda. I bet it has splenda in it. I find that crap in all kinds of stuff, even non-diet stuff.

Not sure if it has Splenda in it or not (you can try Googling it to find out the ingredients), but it doesn't taste bad. I drank the chocolate and the vanilla Optifast 800 pre-made shakes pre-op, but if you have to eat ANYTHING day in and day out, you'll get sick of it.

This I know for sure -- it definitely has whey in it, which, I learned the hard way, many people have an intolerance to, including me. Since I had to buy my shakes from my surgeon's office and wound up drinking only 1/3 of them due to the horrible diarrhea I got, I can't return them. So you might want to buy only a few days' worth of shakes, see how you tolerate them, then buy the remainder.

It was actually really good and I hate everything. I did optifast for two weeks and it wasn't bad at all!!!

Where can you buy Optifast? I'm hating all my protein right now and looking to sample some more to get me through the pureed stage.

I'll look online to see if it has splenda. What are the symptoms of whey intolerance? I probably have something with whey in it at home b/c I have some protien drinks of my husband's.

I need to have one a day for my pre-op, I bought a mixed sample box from the pharmacy (this is in Australia) - chocolate was surprisingly salty, strawberry was good.
