Eating after VSG and (ladies) hot flashes

I was sleeved on 12/5 and am doing pretty good in getting food/protein and fluids down.  However, after eating, I feel almost nauseous and have hot flashes.

SO, is this my new normal?

I did have an emergency hysterectomy in 2005, but the hot flashes stopped.  Has this surgery renewed my hormones?  These hot flashes are nuts!

Not sure on that one.  I've experienced that nausea and hot flash after eating a protein shake - but I chalked it up to "not agreeing with me" and switched to something else and was better.  Perhaps try to isolate a food that is causing it .   If it happens every time -- I have no clue.

I had a hysterectomy in 2010 and have experienced nausea a few times while eating, but I don't think it's the hormones being released from the fat loss. This is just my opinion after analyzing my eating - I think I ate too fast or didn't chew up my food enough, or both, or the food didn't agree with me.

The hot flashes were always directly related to the food/meal.

My past experience with hot flashes always had to do wtih sudden changes in body temp and it could literally happen for no reason.

Early on, I had an episode like this one time.  I had eaten something sweet (a sauce I had put on chicken to moisten it up some when microwaved).  I attributed it to dumping.  It was directly related to what I ate, not a hormonal experience for me.  The symptoms appeared within 10 minutes of my meal.  This sort of mirrors the dumping symptoms.  I waited a couple of months and tried the sauce again and did not experience any ill effects.  Hope you figure out the cause and eradicate it.

It sounds like you might be "dumping" and yes VSGers dump.  Depending on what you are eating, how much you are eating, and how well you are chewing your food.  Sometimes especially early on undigested food (food not chewed enough) when it hits your intestines your intestines have to work harder to digest...which is what mainly dumping is all about.
