Daily Fluids

64 ounces of fluids per day. Does that include the 2 or 3,  8 ounce protein shakes I am already having or is it considered to be in addition to the shakes?  I was probably told this in the many meeting and appointments I had prior to surgery, but somehow I missed it.

I was told that it includes but I feel thirsty and dehydrated after i drink them so I definitely don't count them.

You can count them as part of your liquid intake. My plan includes any non caffinated drink as part of the liquids the first several weeks. After two (or three) weeks my NUT wanted increased fluid intake, so now for me it's 64 oz of water plus whatever else I drink.
