Driver's License = FAIL

So, I guess I'm in need of a new driver's license...

I travel a lot for work and increasingly, the TSA agents at airport look longer and harder at my ID to make sure it's me.  One even asked if I lost a bunch of weight because "this doesn't even look like you any more."  Even the ones in my "home" airport who see me regularly furrow their brows when they look at it.  I've got several business trips coming up, so I guess I better get a new one before someone denies me through security and I end up not being able to fly.

And, the funniest thing about this is the weight stated on my driver's license is exactly what I weigh now.  160.  I was REALLY deluding myself back when I was 240+, huh?  Funny the things we do to try and "conceal" our weight.  I'm pretty sure it wasn't working for me...

Anyhow, I plan to get a new one.  Maybe today.  I guess I'll put my goal weight of 145 on there since I don't plan to get a new one anytime soon after this.

And what's up with some states still doing this?  I lived in another state for several years and weight wasn't on there.

I waited as long as I could to do my passport photo for the same reason. Even so, i was 40lbs heavier than I am today. Fortunately, because I lost in my face, first, it's still recognizable.

Congrats and good luck!

I was pulled over recently and had the police officer ask who I stole the ID from.... Seriously! It took a good 15 minutes of arguing that I was indeed the girl in the picture, then he scolded me and told me to go get a new one. I told him I would do it in April when it was time to be renewed because the state wasn't getting my money any sooner than I had to give it to them. He didn't like that answer... LOL

My passport expired right after my surgery.  I am wondering if I should hold out much longer.

About a year, a year and a half ego, I was pulled over by a female police officer, she took a look at my driver's license and asked me what did I do to lose all this weight.  I told her all about it.  Not only did she not write me a ticket, but she spent about 15 min. talking to me about VSG and asked for my doctor's number.  She was a pretty good lightweight candidate for the surgery herself.  :)  You just never know how and when you are going to touch people's lives,

My license expires  in March and  I just got my surgery.  Ugh, I will wait as long as possible to get the picture taken for it.  I will probably still need to get a new picture before it expires again though.

Same thing happened to me when I came back to the U.S. last June after my vacation.  The immigration officer did a double-take on my passport photo, and I had some 'splainin to do.

I had my surgery in Mexico, and needed a new passport for that, so I had just gotten my passport a month or so before my surgery. It wasn't even a year old when I went to Europe on vacation. So that photo's in there for another 10 years.

My Canadian driver's license has a current photo, but my US passport and Canadian Permanent Residency Card both have pre-op photos. I cross the border a lot and have never been given a bad time in terms of my identity being questioned, but have had a few of the border guards congratulate me on my weight loss and one or two ask about how I did it, and then ask for info about the surgery.

Happy to comply!
