Too Much Cheese!!!!!!
OY! I have been eating a lot of it lately cuz it's an easy way to get low carb protein in and I've been so obsessed with trying to keep the carbs low that I don't even think of eating fruit.. well it finally caught up with me.. OMG I was in the bathroom for a half hour!!
I will spare the details but I will say it was the worst experience I've had with being constipated.
Not to mention I had to take a water pill today cuz my feet were swollen so I'm guessing the salt from the cheese it catching up with me too..
Guess I'll have to take a cheese break for a while.
I maybe some homemade apple sauce today and had about half a cup of it. Hopefully that helps.
My dietician suggested fibre1 cereal but it's like 25 carbs right there and I have a hard enough time with the carbs. *sigh*
Does anyone know if there is a fibre we can get in pill form?

Colace- 2 - 4 pills daily
Miralax- 2 times a week
FIber capsules- Costco and Sams has the member mark brand for a good price
Benefiber- Sams has a giant one for a good price- careful with the carbs from that though. Realized I was adding 60-100 calores a day with it and lots of carb.
Miralax works great and it tasteless in the morning coffee.

Sorry, I know that sucks. I eat a lot of cheese, but I generally don't have issues. I also get a minimum of 15g of fiber a day without taking supplmeents. In Maintenance, i'm shooting for 25. I eat protein first, then fibrous veggies, generally.
Things to try:
Drink lots of water....
-- Add Protein K20 (5g fiber, 5g protein) by Special K
Atkins Daybreak Bars, Peanut Butter Fudge Crisp in particular, have 10g protein, 8g Fiber. They have a small amount of sugar alcohol, but not a ton. 150 Calories.
Blueberries/Strawberries -- I add them to cottage cheese, raw.
Eggplant -- best source possible for soluable fiber which lowers cholesterol. Cut it into slices, salt it and let it sit for 1/2 hour to draw out the bitterness. Wipe and then wash off the salt. Pat dry, then brush with some olive oil, lightly season, and grill.
Zuccini/Broccoli/Cauliflower -- Sautee, steamed, mashed. I made a Sheperd's Pie recently substituting Cauliflower mash for the mashed potatoes on top. It was REALLY good.
Artichokes -- Trickier to cook, but very good/
