Anyone use FSA (flexible spending account)  card to purchase bariatric vitamins?

I'm glad you asked that question. I searched through my flex spending paperwork and found this
  1. Bariatric surgery patients vitamins and supplements are eligible with a letter of medical necessity stating that they are required due to bariatric surgery.

Mine says vitamins are not covered. Even bariatric ones unfortunately.

I spoke to my insurance company, and they will reiumburse with a letter of medical necessity.

Weight loss/dietary supplements (excluding foods)
needed to treat obesity or a related medical condition

okay digging out ALL my FSA paperwork now... I know i can get a letter of medical necessity if thats all they need

Gummie vitamins from wal-mart. I take 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening
